The Mechanical Engineering Department was established in the year 1994 and has developed the necessary infrastructure for the undergraduate B.Tech course. Mechanical Engineering program gives effective education to the students to enhance their knowledge of basic principles of science, Mathematics and Engineering. The Department has various laboratories viz; Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines, Mechanical Measurements and Control, Heat Transfer, CAD/CAM, & Fluid Mechanics. The Computer Lab of the department is well equipped having PCs of P III and P IV configuration with Printers, Scanner facilities. In addition to this the department has a central workshop facility having various shops viz; Machine shop, Turning Shop, Carpentry shop, Pattern making shop, Smithy Shop, Foundry shop, Sheet metal shop, Fitting shop, Welding shop well equipped with the basic infrastructure to impart technical training to the students of all disciplines.
